Q: Is it possible to give my plants too much water?

Q: Is it possible to give my plants too much water? A: You likely already know that with too little water, your plants will dry up, but with too much water, they will wilt. Also, as in the case of the tomato plant, too much water can actually make the tomatoes taste watery. You want to allow your fruiting plants dry out as much as possible. You do not want them to wilt. In fact, near the end of the growing season, you will want to cut off water completely. Green tomatoes will indeed ripen.
